Our First Meeting Was Lots of Fun!

Twenty-six people came to our first meeting!  WOO-HOO!  Lots of show & tell, lots of laughing, lots of unhealthy snacks (that's what quilters like).  Mike even showed up--rode his motorcycle to the fire station to see exactly what it was we were doing.  I tried to take a photo of every show & tell project, but I might have missed someone.

Our next meeting is Tuesday, October 4.  Be there!

It's Almost Time!

We're excited about our first meeting!  I think it would be great if everyone would make a name tag, so yesterday I stamped some hand-dyed fabric with a variety of flowers and thought I'd offer those to anyone who wants one on Wednesday evening. Then, at our next meeting, everyone who wears a handmade name tag will put their name in a drawing for one of several prizes we'll be offering.  You can add beads, crystals, embroidery, quilting, ribbon work, buttons--anything you want.  Oh, yeah, and your name!  And you don't have to use my stamped fabric--you may use your own fabric.  Sew a pin to the back or sew ribbon to your finished name tag so you can wear it on your shirt or around your neck.  Here are some of the 3" x 4 1/2" stamped fabric pieces.
